This tutorial will show you how to effectively remove unwanted messages and alerts from the pbdownforce window. Pbdownforce is a simple program that allows you to disable any messages or alerts — for example, messages and alerts from the antivirus and firewall.Pbdownforce comes with two modes: "Silent Mode" and "Normal Mode". The first mode disables messages and alerts, but retains the services of the anti-virus program or firewall. The second mode just shows a message on top of all windows telling you that your system is protected by pb down force. The default setting is "Normal Mode". To enable Silent Mode, open the file "defaults.ini" located in the folder C:\\Windows\\System32 or C:\\Windows\\SysWOW64 and change the setting under this entry to "0". To enable Normal Mode, change the value of this entry to any other number. Now that you have configured pbdownforce, you will see an icon appearing in your system tray. When this icon is clicked on, pbdownforce will be started automatically and it will disable any messages or alerts that appear on your screen. It also sets itself as the default program for any new windows created. Pbdownforce comes with a feature that allows you to select the components in your system which you want to protect. For example, if you do not want to protect your system from any messages by the firewall, go to the pbdownforce window and click on "Configuration" in the menu bar. Now uncheck "Show firewall messages". Similarly, there is a separate option for showing messages created by your antivirus protection software. You can select or deselect these options to create an environment where only the messages that are of importance are shown. Finally, there is another option called "Show Information Messages" which allows you to disable all information messages generated by Windows itself. You can customize the messages that appear on your screen by selecting "Messages" in the menu bar and then clicking on "Add". A new window will pop up. Here you can select the program that will generate messages that you want to block. If you want to block messages coming from your antivirus, select "Antivirus" from this list. Similarly, if you do not want to block any firewall messages, select "Firewall" from this list. Now write a name for the message you want to add and click on OK. The new message will be added to the list of messages. You can delete the unwanted messages by clicking on "Delete" in the menu bar and selecting the option "Delete" from the drop down menu. If you want to export pbdownforce settings to another computer, go to "File" in the menu bar and click on "Export". A window will pop up which will allow you to export your settings to a file. Save this file in a location where you can easily access it. Now boot your other computer using media that has pbdownforce installed in it and import all these settings using this feature by clicking on "Import" in the menu bar. 8eeb4e9f32 33
